    About the role#

    Join the Innovation Hub at Kinectrics for an 8 or 12 month co-op placement starting in January 2027. You will work directly with the Senior Director of Strategic Growth and Innovation to help shape the future of the organization. This role involves evaluating emerging technologies, supporting new product development, and contributing to business strategy and brand-building. You will gain exposure to nuclear technologies and work alongside technical experts on initiatives ranging from artificial intelligence and robotics to medical isotopes and advanced reactors.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify and investigate new technologies that offer improvements to operations or new service offerings.
    • Develop technical white papers, market assessments, business cases, and CAPEX inputs.
    • Coordinate innovation projects and support ideation sessions to turn opportunities into plans.
    • Assist with innovation-focused proposals, funding applications, and IP reviews.
    • Collaborate with universities, incubators, and industry partners.
    • Contribute to business development, market analysis, and growth strategies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current full-time enrollment in a post-secondary Engineering, Science, Entrepreneurship, Management, or related program requiring a co-op placement.
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to synthesize complex technical information for both technical and business audiences.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized and self-directed work style.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with Power BI, workflow, or project management tools is preferred.
    • Graduate students with relevant industry or research experience are encouraged to apply.

    Location & details#

    • Location: 800 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. This is an on-site position.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (8 or 12 months).
    • Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, based on experience and education.
