About the role#
Kinectrics offers Co-op and PEY student opportunities for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. These roles provide practical work experience in the energy sector. You will work with technical experts, gain hands-on industry knowledge, and have the chance to build professional connections. What you'll do#
Engineering students typically support technical teams by performing laboratory work under the supervision of senior technologists. You will assist with test setups, data acquisition, and conductor condition assessment projects. Your daily tasks include completing data sheets and writing templated reports.
Students in central teams, such as Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, or Purchasing, support business operations. You will prepare and input data into business systems, provide financial support through reconciliations, and maintain records. You will also handle administrative tasks, order supplies, and assist with mail coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary undergraduate program with an intent to return to full-time studies after the term.
- Strong initiative, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- For engineering roles: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- For central team roles: Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Economics.
