Kimley-Horn is seeking Landscape Architecture students for a summer 2027 internship based in our Fort Worth, Texas office. This is a full-time, on-site position where interns will work on projects including land planning, urban design, mixed-use and residential developments, streetscapes, and public infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on project deliverables.
- Contribute to site planning, urban design, and landscape design tasks.
- Assist project managers and collaborate with team members across multiple disciplines.
- Solve complex design and planning problems to support client visions.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company and client standards.
- Gain proficiency in software including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Technical knowledge of landscape architecture principles.
- Familiarity with design and planning software.
- Understanding of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Strong collaborative problem-solving skills.
