Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for a full-time, on-site internship in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Summer 2027 term. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in civil engineering design and project management.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across various project types.
- Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and perform quality control on project deliverables.
- Solve complex engineering problems and assist project managers in collaborating across disciplines.
- Develop a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal and client-specific practices.
- Gain proficiency in industry software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's engineering degree program.
- Academic background in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
