    About the role#

    Kiewit is looking for a Scheduling Intern to support our power division during the summer of 2027. This role offers hands-on experience in project controls, where you will monitor and maintain project progress from the initial estimate through to final completion. You will work with various project teams to analyze schedules, identify risks, and help drive successful project delivery.

    What you'll do#

    • Create resource loaded schedules, including major milestones, critical approvals, and procurement items.
    • Maintain schedule logic, constraints, activity durations, and resource allocation.
    • Perform scheduling analysis to identify delays and mitigate project risks.
    • Assist with internal controls, including measuring project performance and reporting on status.
    • Build knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology.
    • Develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
    • Use historical data to assist with future planning and forecasting.
    • Collaborate with project teams, field personnel, and clients.
    • Attend meetings and present statistical reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A commitment to safety and professional ethics.
    • Willingness to take initiative and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work during normal business hours, with potential for overtime and weekend work as required.
