About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will learn key operations and functions by working directly on projects. The role is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027, running approximately from May to August.
What you'll do#
- Perform field engineering tasks and handle technical problems that arise during construction.
- Assist with operation planning, project scheduling, and cost control.
- Track quantities, maintain records on job progress, and monitor material usage.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
- Work with suppliers to manage material procurement and delivery.
- Supervise field activities, investigate incidents, and recommend solutions.
- Perform work safely and follow all site policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time throughout the summer.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as needed.
- Ability to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity.
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and objectives.
