About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on industrial projects and participate in the daily operations required to complete complex construction tasks. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform field engineering and operation planning.
- Manage cost control, project scheduling, and quantity tracking.
- Handle material procurement and contract administration.
- Estimate and supervise field activities.
- Complete engineering tasks using standard techniques and resolve minor technical problems during construction.
- Maintain records for job progress, costs, and material usage.
- Plan and schedule specific job segments.
- Investigate problems and identify solutions.
- Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements.
- Work with suppliers to manage material delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Associate's degrees in Construction Management are also considered.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer.
- Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
- Capacity to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Strong work ethic, organization, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
