About the role#
Kiewit is seeking an Architectural Intern to join the Kiewit Architecture and Engineering group in Lenexa, Kansas. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship. You will work within a project team to oversee building architectural design, contribute to project success, and help improve company standards and tools.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of architectural design standards and procedures.
- Prepare basic life safety analysis and code-required calculations.
- Review project design codes.
- Create architectural construction documentation, including drawings and sketches.
- Review RFP materials for potential projects.
- Coordinate with the estimating team to develop conceptual plans, elevations, and schedules.
- Communicate with other disciplines to resolve design interfacing issues.
- Use Revit to develop design documents.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a NAAB accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- A GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
- Experience with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Experience in Navisworks is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter with a self-driven work ethic and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work productively, meet deadlines, and interact professionally with team members.
- Commitment to working safely and following oral or written instructions.
- Availability to work during normal operating hours, with the potential for overtime or weekend work as required.

- This position is based on-site in Lenexa, Kansas.
- This is a full-time, temporary internship for Summer 2027.
