About the role#
We are looking for an FPGA Design Intern to join our Wireline Network Test team. You will support the development of wireline Ethernet test products. Our team works with advanced technologies, including FPGA logic operating at 600+ MHz and line speeds exceeding 1600Gbps. You will work alongside hardware and software engineers to build test systems that validate equipment and networks before they reach the market.
What you'll do#
- Work with a mentor to design, develop, and implement new features and platforms.
- Create and develop new products and features.
- Drive continuous process and code base improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a B.Sc or M.Sc program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog.
- Basic knowledge of C programming.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to build interpersonal relationships and work within a team.
- Understanding of interpreted languages such as Tcl or Python.
- Knowledge of Ethernet technologies from 1G to 1600G+ is a plus.
- Experience with SerDes up to 212Gbps, memory technologies like DDR4 or RLDRAM3, and interconnect protocols such as PCIe and Interlaken is helpful.
- Understanding of data networks, networking protocols, and switch/router operation is desirable.
