About the role#
As a Maintenance Excellence Data Analyst/Industrial Engineer Co-op, you will focus on gathering, processing, and visualizing manufacturing data to drive operational improvements. You will serve as a key resource for transforming complex production, maintenance, and quality data into actionable insights and reports. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to support highly automated manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Collect, validate, and consolidate data from various manufacturing systems.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all platforms.
- Review Preventive Maintenance (PM) instructions and audit results to identify gaps in documentation or performance.
- Support the development and standardization of PM processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain PM-related materials, checklists, and dashboards.
- Create executive-level reports and visualizations to support strategic decisions.
- Analyze maintenance and PM trends, including parts consumption and equipment failures, to perform root cause analyses.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by identifying performance gaps.
- Partner with leadership to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Train users on data interpretation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate program in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Analytics.
- Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or manufacturing analytics.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, or automated production environment.
- Proficiency in building enterprise-level reports and dashboards.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using AI-powered tools.
- Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience working with large data sets and cloud-based platforms.
Location & details#
- Location: Essex Junction, Vermont.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4, 2027, to May 21, 2027).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $31 per hour, paid bi-weekly, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Note: This position requires full-time work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
