About the role#
Ketjen Corporation is seeking Data Science interns for the Summer 2027 term. This program offers hands-on technical experience within the chemical manufacturing industry. You will work on projects at our Houston site as part of a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule.
What you'll do#
Interns will work with various software tools and development environments to support our data initiatives. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing with Python and Django using PyCharm Professional IDE.
- Building interfaces using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Managing data and queries with SQL Server and SSMS.
- Creating solutions using VBA within Excel.
- Using Azure DevOps for project tracking and version control with GIT.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in a Bachelor's degree program at an ABET Accredited University.
- A major in Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Interest in participating in multiple Ketjen internship or co-op sessions is a plus.
