About the role#
Kemin Industries is hiring a Research & Development Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Des Moines, Iowa. You will work within our biotechnology research teams for 10-12 weeks between May and August.
What you'll do#
- Lead a summer project that creates a direct impact on our operations.
- Assist your team with daily tasks and department initiatives.
- Join department meetings and share your ideas.
- Work with other departments to coordinate projects.
- Identify ways to improve processes and create standard work.
- Participate in company-sponsored training and networking events.
- Present your final project results to Kemin leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Microbiology.
- Availability for 10-12 weeks of full-time work from May through August.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Genuine interest in your field of study.
