About the role#
KCI is looking for a student to join our San Antonio office as an MEP Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and the end of August. You will have a dedicated supervisor and mentor, attend planned activities, and provide mid-summer and end-of-summer reports.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting.
- Complete field surveys or laboratory assignments.
- Prepare engineering studies and coordinate design plans with other design disciplines.
- Apply quality control procedures in alignment with ISO.
- Perform entry-level engineering, design, or drafting tasks.
- Handle administrative or office management duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited college engineering program, specifically Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Architecture.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
