About the role#
This internship provides clinical experience within the Community Based Services division. You will work with the Community Service Agency team to support children and families who have significant behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs. The role focuses on providing services in the communities where clients live.
What you'll do#
- Support children and their families by addressing behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Use strength-based and needs-driven choices to guide your work.
- Collaborate with a team to provide individualized services.
- Apply evidence-based practices to support client success at home, school, and in the community.
- Work under the supervision of licensed staff to gain clinical hours and professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field.
- A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- You must live on Martha's Vineyard.
- Familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
