BA Level Intern

About the role#

The Justice Resource Institute (JRI) is seeking a BA Level Intern to support youth and families within our Community Based Services division. This role involves working in an after-school environment to provide strength-based and needs-driven support, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure families have access to necessary behavioral, emotional, and mental health services.

What you'll do#

• Learn to apply clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
• Explore clinical knowledge through evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
• Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience using electronic medical records.
• Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
• Receive supervision from licensed and experienced staff to support clinical growth and degree requirements.

What you'll need#

• Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree or higher in a mental health, social work, or human service field.
• A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to pass required background and driving record checks.
