About the role#
This Co-Op position offers hands-on experience in engineering processes, project management, and operational excellence. You will work under the guidance of a mentor to support continuous improvement initiatives and business projects. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, shortening cycle times, and enhancing quality within the assigned department.
What you'll do#
- Support projects aimed at improving process efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Assist with project execution using methodologies like FPX, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Participate in testing, validation, and documentation for products, processes, equipment, and raw materials.
- Maintain technical and operational records, including specifications and reports.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to communicate project progress and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist in developing concepts, designs, and approaches for new products or testing methods.
- Support compliance with company policies, environmental, safety, and occupational health requirements.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and business issues to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies at an accredited university.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with good academic standing.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including overtime when required.
- Previous internship, co-op, or research experience is preferred.
- Experience with tools like Minitab, Visio, or Power BI is a plus.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Location: San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.
- Term: Winter, Summer, and Fall 2027 (January to December).
- Work Modality: On-site or Hybrid.
- Employment: Full time (40 hours per week).
