About the role#
This 12-month co-op position supports the Medical Affairs Strategy and Execution team within the oncology and prostate cancer therapeutic area. You will gain hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical environment while assisting with scientific communication, healthcare professional (HCP) engagement, and cross-functional project execution. This is a learning-focused role designed to build foundational experience in medical affairs.
What you'll do#
- Support the execution of apalutamide medical affairs priorities and prostate cancer scientific strategy.
- Track, organize, and follow up on key deliverables across medical affairs workstreams.
- Synthesize scientific and strategic information into concise summaries and project updates for internal teams.
- Develop materials that enable consistent scientific communication across regional partners.
- Assist with the planning and execution of HCP engagement activities, including advisory boards and scientific exchange meetings.
- Create and refine scientific slide decks, internal updates, and presentation materials while ensuring messaging consistency.
- Help maintain and update scientific communication platforms and evidence-based content.
- Assist with congress preparation, including session tracking, competitive intelligence summaries, and post-congress reporting.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs and track feedback on various projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program or PharmD program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A strong interest in pharmaceutical or biotech medical affairs.
- Foundational understanding of clinical research and evidence-based scientific communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship requirements.
