About the role#
Public Health Ontario is hiring a student to join the Quality Improvement team. You will contribute to provincial quality improvement work by applying critical thinking, process analysis, and data skills. This role supports the organization's strategic goal of moving evidence into action and driving quality improvement across public health initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Develop and update reporting templates for quantitative data, trend analysis, and qualitative input.
- Collect data and perform quality analysis.
- Create emails, slides, infographics, and process maps to support team goals.
- Apply critical thinking to identify process improvements and outline next steps.
- Support the planning and coordination of provincial meetings, including logistics and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal team members and external public health partners to produce deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Public Health, Health Administration, Mathematics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and tools.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.

- Location: 661 University, Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Part-time, up to 21.75 hours per week.
- Status: Paid position.
