About the role#
We are looking for a Software Test Engineering Co-op to join our team in Danvers, Massachusetts, for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, on-site role focuses on software testing for medical devices. You will work with automated testing tools and collaborate with developers to ensure high-quality software performance and security.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Pytest and other in-house tools for end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to define application requirements and design test plans.
- Identify, document, and track software defects while working with the development team to resolve them.
- Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to maintain code quality.
- Perform both manual and automated testing to verify application functionality, performance, and security.
- Generate test reports and provide insights or recommendations based on your findings.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, Rust, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with automated test frameworks like Pytest.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven project experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future visa sponsorship.
- Preferred: Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and familiarity with embedded software using low-level languages like C, C++, Rust, or Go.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an anticipated pay range of $23.50 to $52.50 per hour, depending on program year, discipline, and experience.
