About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the commercial real estate sales environment. You will support leasing brokerage activities by assisting with projects that help the team and clients make informed decisions. You will gain experience in sourcing, securing, and servicing clients on both the Occupier and Landlord sides of the business.
What you'll do#
- Support senior brokers with business development by initiating outreach to new leads, managing prospect data, and organizing historical client activity.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data to assist with client deliverables.
- Assist with the preparation of offering materials, pitch decks, and other presentations for new business pursuits.
- Read, review, and abstract real estate documents such as leases and operating expense statements.
- Create and use Excel-based analytical tools and financial models for ad-hoc analysis.
- Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiations, evaluations, and documentation.
- Serve as a technology champion by promoting and supporting the use of brokerage software and CRM programs.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Previous internship experience in a professional environment.
- Permanent US work authorization.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career path as a commissioned Broker.
- Experience using CRM programs, strong project management skills, and a hands-on, team-player attitude are preferred.
