About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the sales environment of commercial real estate. You will support leasing brokerage activities by assisting with projects that support decision-making for clients and the brokerage team. You will gain experience in sourcing, securing, and servicing clients on both the Occupier and Landlord sides of the business.
What you'll do#
- Support senior brokers with business development by initiating outreach to new leads, managing prospect data, and organizing historical client activity.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for client deliverables and presentations.
- Assist with the preparation of offering materials, pitch decks, and other presentations.
- Read, review, and abstract real estate documents such as leases and operating expense statements.
- Create and use Excel-based analytical tools and financial models for ad-hoc analysis.
- Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiations, evaluations, and documentation.
- Serve as a technology champion by promoting and supporting the use of JLL brokerage software and CRM programs.
What you'll need#
- Previous internship experience in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career path as a commissioned Broker.
- Permanent US work authorization.
- Preferred: Experience using CRM programs, strong project management skills, and a hands-on, team-player attitude.
