About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to join the Project and Development Services (PDS) team on the AMGEN account. You will work on-site in Thousand Oaks, California, to learn how major capital projects move from planning through completion. You will gain exposure to capital planning, cost management for enterprise-scale facility portfolios, and the development of professional project presentations for stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Participate in active project workflows.
- Support capital project prioritization, budget forecasting, and long-term facility planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering professionals on technical reviews, specifications, and project documentation.
- Contribute to safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance tracking efforts.
- Support budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
- Help maintain project databases, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Develop and deliver presentations to internal teams and client stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with 2-3 years of the program completed.
- Major in Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management principles or coursework.
- Experience with data analysis or visualization tools.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in real estate, facilities, or construction.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Professional demeanor and an eagerness to learn.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid internship.
