About the role#
Jarrett is a third-party logistics company that coordinates shipping processes for clients in industries like automotive, aerospace, and food. As an intern, you will act as a coordinator between our clients and carriers to ensure shipments arrive as expected. You will troubleshoot issues, answer client inquiries, and work to resolve problems before they escalate.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming phone calls and emails from clients regarding shipment requests and general questions.
- Coordinate with carriers to set up new shipments.
- Track active shipments using carrier websites and call specific locations to follow up on delays or issues.
- Log shipment updates accurately within our jShip software.
- Prepare and send daily or weekly status reports to clients.
- Collaborate with your teammates to find solutions when shipments do not go according to plan.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work at least 15 hours per week during the spring semester.
- Previous experience in customer service roles, such as retail or food service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet.
- A desire to solve problems and a willingness to help others.
- Interest in working within a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site internship based in Orrville, Ohio.
- The term for this role is Winter 2027.
