About the role#
This internship with the Systematic Trading team offers a chance to work at the intersection of quantitative research, technology, and financial markets. You will work alongside portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to build and test data-driven trading strategies. This role focuses on applying quantitative methods to solve market problems while gaining experience in systematic investment approaches.
What you'll do#
- Collect, clean, and manage large financial datasets for analysis.
- Develop and test quantitative models for pricing, forecasting, and trading using statistical and mathematical techniques.
- Collaborate with researchers and developers to design systematic trading strategies.
- Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency, optimize runtime, and reduce operational risk.
- Apply your programming and analytical skills to solve applied problems.
- Communicate findings to team members and participate in research discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Master’s or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computational Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python or another object-oriented or functional language.
- A solid understanding of statistical modeling, including linear and non-linear techniques.
- The ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- A demonstrated interest in using technology and quantitative methods to solve trading problems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
