About the role#
Iron Oak Energy Solutions offers a 10 to 12 week summer internship at our Vest and El Dorado plant in Kermit, Texas. This program provides hands-on experience in mining and industrial operations. You will work alongside our operations leadership and technical teams to gain insight into plant processes, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on developing your professional skills while you contribute to projects that support our operational performance.
What you'll do#
- Learn and follow all company safety policies and MSHA regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the site.
- Gain exposure to mining and plant processes, such as drilling, hauling, processing, and material handling.
- Assist with quality control activities, including sampling and data analysis.
- Participate in maintenance and operational improvement projects.
- Support environmental compliance and regulatory practices.
- Collaborate with teams across operations, maintenance, and quality departments.
- Present project findings and recommendations to site leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Mining, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to work in field and industrial settings.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

- Note: This role requires working in a mining and industrial plant environment with exposure to heavy equipment and field conditions. Personal Protective Equipment is required.
