About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position for the Fall 2026 term, based at our office in Verdun, Quebec. You will work within the Corporate Quality and Product Compliance (CQPC) team to gain hands-on experience in product certification, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to support technical needs and ensure adherence to established requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support Product Compliance Engineers and Specialists in corporate certification and compliance initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between IPEX manufacturing sites and the Corporate Quality and Product Compliance team.
- Assist in the preparation of requests for quotations (RFQs) and manage project follow-ups with external certification agencies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of product qualification plans within manufacturing operations.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize documentation to meet certification standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Support manufacturing teams in addressing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with corrective action activities.
- Participate in initiatives to harmonize Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes across product lines.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in training on testing methods, compliance processes, and quality systems.
- Support continuous improvement projects and special assignments related to regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical) or Business Administration, with eligibility for a co-op placement.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, quality systems, or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, procedures, specifications, and testing methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in a quality, compliance, testing, or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
