About the role#
The Total Portfolio & Strategic Initiatives team manages the design and execution of investment priorities at IMCO. You will work alongside investment teams across public equities, fixed income, real estate, infrastructure, credit, and private equity. This role focuses on identifying opportunities to improve portfolio outcomes and advancing strategic organizational initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with investment and enterprise teams on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Contribute to projects that improve portfolio management capabilities and organizational effectiveness.
- Support the team through research, analysis, project management, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Conduct research to support strategic assessments and recommendations.
- Track, analyze, and report on key investment metrics and activities.
- Produce presentations, reports, and communications for senior stakeholders.
- Assist with ad hoc activities as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program in business, finance, mathematics, science, engineering, or a related field.
- A strong interest in the investments industry.
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position with a base salary range of CAD $45,000 to $65,000, determined by year of study and experience.
