About the role#
We are looking for an Architectural Design Intern to join our Construction Management and Design team in Lee's Summit. You will work on a variety of tasks ranging from early concept planning to supporting the project team through the design and construction process. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Create 2D and 3D presentations and early design studies for site plans, floor plans, and building exteriors.
- Visit project sites to measure existing spaces and prepare as-built floor plans.
- Translate design concepts into technical documents.
- Work with your manager to coordinate architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical designs into clear building plans.
- Assemble standard construction details for project booklets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A self-motivated, organized approach to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to listen and work well with project teams, clients, and reviewing authorities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.
- Previous exposure to commercial or multi-family apartment design is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
- The pay range is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
