About the role#
We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician Tech College Intern to join our team in Omaha. This is a paid, full-time internship that offers a path toward becoming licensed through our DOL-approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program. You will work alongside journeyman electricians to support industrial projects.
What you'll do#
- Measure, cut, and bend conduit.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, pullers, and tuggers.
- Install conductors in race way and cable tray.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects.
- Perform minor repairs and disassemble defective electrical equipment.
- Load, transport, and unload materials, equipment, and tools for the crew.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and various lifts.
- Complete housekeeping duties and other tasks assigned by field leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an electrical technology course, ideally seeking an AS degree in electrical construction, instrumentation, or a similar field.
- Interest in obtaining licensure through our apprenticeship program.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Permanent residence in or near Omaha, or a willingness to relocate permanently.
Location & details#
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Hours vary by project site. You may work over 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work required.
- Environment: This role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. You may be exposed to dust and noise.
