    About the role#

    Interstates is seeking an Apprentice Electrician Intern to join our construction team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for students interested in pursuing a career as a licensed electrician through our DOL approved apprenticeship program.

    What you'll do#

    • Measure, cut, and bend conduit.
    • Install conductors in race way and cable tray.
    • Operate power tools including drills, saws, pullers, and tuggers.
    • Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening electrical components.
    • Perform minor repairs like replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
    • Disassemble defective electrical equipment.
    • Load, transport, and organize tools and supplies for the crew.
    • Use ladders, scaffolding, and various lifts to reach work areas.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a certificate or AS degree program in electrical technology, electrical construction, or instrumentation.
    • A genuine interest in becoming licensed through our DOL approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
    • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    • Comfort working in diverse conditions, including high or precarious places, confined spaces, outside weather, and dusty environments.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and requires travel within a 200-mile radius.
    • The schedule includes more than 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work depending on project needs.
    • This is a rolling internship opportunity.
