About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for a current graduate or undergraduate student to gain professional experience in grant management and non-profit operations. Working directly with the Grants Coordinator in Atlanta, you will contribute to the pre-award process and help build a funding portfolio to support the organization's programming.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Grants Coordinator to review and refine donor prospecting strategies.
- Conduct research on grant opportunities and maintain a database of identified prospects.
- Manage and update the grants calendar to ensure timely tracking of activities.
- Draft grant proposals for review by the Grants Coordinator or Development Director.
- Participate in relevant grants webinars and information sessions.
- Provide project support as needed and fulfill administrative requirements, such as tracking hours on the volunteer dashboard.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate or undergraduate student in a field such as International Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or Sociology.
- Strong written communication skills and excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel functions and general Microsoft Office programs.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to pass a background check and authorization to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Commitment: 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months.
- Term: Fall 2026, beginning the week of September 8, 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship position.
