About the role#
The Comprehensive Refugee Service (CRS) program provides support to refugees, asylum seekers, and parolees to ensure services meet contract requirements. This internship focuses on safety, service, and compliance. The role requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for at least three months. This is an unpaid, hybrid position reporting to the CRS Caseworker.
What you'll do#
- Manage documentation, including scanning and filing.
- Perform data entry and take notes during meetings.
- Assist clients in developing problem-solving skills to support their self-sufficiency.
- Accompany caseworkers to appointments and assist with service delivery.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and development programs.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Creativity and the initiative to complete projects.
- Strong technical skills.
- A genuine desire to help people and an interest in working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Preferred majors include Human Resources, Sociology, International Relations, and Psychology.
