About the role#
The Comprehensive Refugee Service (CRS) program provides support to refugees, asylum seekers, and parolees. This internship focuses on program compliance and service delivery as outlined by the Department of Children and Families. You will report to a CRS Caseworker and assist with daily operations to help clients rebuild their lives.
What you'll do#
- Manage documentation through scanning and filing.
- Perform data entry and take notes during meetings.
- Help clients build problem-solving skills to support their self-sufficiency.
- Accompany caseworkers to appointments and assist with service delivery.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and development programs.
What you'll need#
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to show initiative and follow through on projects.
- Strong technical skills.
- A genuine desire to help people and an interest in working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Students studying Human Resources, Sociology, International Relations, or Psychology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid position based in Tallahassee, Florida.
- This is an unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- The role requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for at least three months.
- Hours are primarily between 9AM and 5PM on weekdays, with occasional weekend activities.
