The Anti-Trafficking Community Engagement Intern will support the Florida Anti-Trafficking team in Miami and Tallahassee. This role focuses on building connections between the community and anti-trafficking programs to secure monetary, in-kind, and volunteer resources for survivors. You will work alongside the Safety & Wellness Program Manager and local teams to support client needs and ensure donor match compliance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with resource development, including community engagement, external communications, event planning, and fundraising.
- Help maintain accurate data across program databases.
- Collect and record information on community engagement prospects.
- Represent the program by attending community events and information sessions.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs.
What you'll need#
- An interest in international affairs and refugee or immigrant issues.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Creativity and the initiative to see projects through to completion.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to commit to 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive months.
- Ability to pass a background check and submit hours via the volunteer portal.

- This is an unpaid, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- Positions are located in Miami, FL and Tallahassee, FL.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
