    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is seeking an undergraduate student for a paid internship focused on onboarding experience and AI innovation. This position is based at our headquarters and offers an opportunity to learn about development work and corporate management through on-the-job training.

    What you'll do#

    • Validate data accuracy, test user workflows, and optimize knowledge bases to support AI initiatives.
    • Plan and execute virtual and in-person networking activities to help new hires connect.
    • Provide logistical and operational support for onboarding events and orientation sessions.
    • Design and deliver training sessions for onboarding facilitators.
    • Develop and maintain orientation guides, toolkits, and reference materials for the New Hire Intranet.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be an active undergraduate student in Human Resources, communications, journalism, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
    • You must have completed at least your second year of undergraduate studies.
    • Your graduation date must be after the internship period.
    • Fluency in English is required, along with a working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
    • You must be a national of an IDB member country.
    • You must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship program.
    • You cannot have family members working at the IDB or IDB Invest up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity.
    • International students must possess necessary work authorization such as CPT or OPT.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site, full-time position (40 hours per week) located in Washington, District of Columbia.
    • The internship term runs from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027.
    • This role is a paid intern consultant position.
