About the role#
As a Graphics Hardware Validation Intern, you will gain hands-on experience validating discrete graphics platforms. You will work alongside engineers to develop and execute validation tests, analyze results, and investigate hardware and software issues. This role involves applying your knowledge of computer architecture to real-world engineering challenges while supporting system-level debugging and platform readiness.
What you'll do#
- Execute platform and board validation tasks.
- Develop and implement test plans to assess functionality and performance.
- Analyze test results to identify anomalies.
- Assist in debugging functional and performance issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support configuration testing and manufacturability assessments for data center platforms.
- Participate in benchmarking execution and validation of power and thermal characteristics.
- Contribute to hands-on projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- At least 3 months of experience with computer architecture or organization through school or work.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Experience with Windows drivers, operating systems, error logs, and configuration, or experience with Linux and the Windows command line.
- Knowledge of discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems.
- Familiarity with PC x86 architecture, including CPU, memory, PCIe, display technologies, power management, and 3D graphics.
- Experience building your own PC and computer hardware.
- Programming skills in Python or similar languages.
- Knowledge of current PC technology.
