About the role#
Our Summer 2027 Finance Internship provides hands-on experience solving real business challenges. You will work within one of our four networks, corporate, supply chain, healthcare, or promotions, under the guidance of Finance and Accounting leaders. This role is designed to help you build technical skills and understand how financial insights drive business performance. You will split your time between a high-impact cross-functional project and specific tasks assigned by your manager.
What you'll do#
- Perform in-depth review, analysis, and interpretation of financial activity.
- Support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and cost savings.
- Develop or enhance financial models, dashboards, KPIs, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, credit analysis, accounts receivable, and data validation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, or automate Finance and Accounting processes.
- Gather requirements, document workflows, test solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct research and ad hoc analysis.
- Collaborate with partners across Finance and other functions.
- Contribute to projects that improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial processes.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Actuarial Science.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort using spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and productivity tools in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt as business needs evolve.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Preferred experience includes coursework in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or data analytics.
- Preferred technical familiarity includes Excel Power Query, Tableau, SAP, Salesforce, Alteryx, ServiceNow RPA, Google Apps Script, Python, SQL, or AI tools.

- The role is based on-site in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
