About the role#
Ingredion is looking for an Internal Audit Intern to join our Global Internal Audit team for the Fall 2026 term. You will support audit activities and use data analytics to help evaluate our financial, operational, and compliance processes. This role provides exposure to enterprise systems and internal controls while you work alongside cross-functional teams on projects that improve our internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with audit execution by documenting business processes and controls.
- Perform audit testing procedures and evaluate supporting evidence.
- Prepare audit workpapers.
- Use data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting and management controls to ensure transactions are processed accurately.
- Determine compliance with company policies and applicable government regulations.
- Support the development of analytics-based procedures for compliance testing.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work 20-30 hours per week during the fall term.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program, having completed at least two years of coursework.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, on-site internship located in Westchester, Illinois.
- You must be able to work from the Westchester office at least one day per week.
