About the role#
Independent Women offers a paid internship program for college students interested in public policy. You will support a single department, such as Communications, Policy Advocacy, or Investor Relations. This role provides practical experience through regular tasks and drafting outputs for your team. Interns work approximately 20 hours per week during business hours in the Eastern timezone.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to your assigned department.
- Manage regular tasks and start drafts for team projects.
- Participate in training sessions for relevant software.
- Manage your time to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university degree program and a high school diploma or GED.
- A major in Communications, Political Science, Government, or Policy-related fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Meet.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a working laptop or desktop computer.
- Ability to work independently.

- This is a remote internship for the Summer 2026 term.
- This position is paid via a monthly stipend.
