About the role#
Impulse Space is hiring a Thermal Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Redondo Beach, California. The internship lasts 12 weeks, running from May or June through August or September 2027.
What you'll do#
You will support the thermal management of spacecraft. Your work covers the full lifecycle of a project, including concept, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and flight. You will work within an agile team focused on high-performance spacecraft design.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree program.
- Experience or coursework in thermal management of spacecraft.
- Ability to contribute to a project from initial concept through flight testing.
- Ability to work effectively within an agile team environment.
