About the role#
Impulse Space is hiring a Battery Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will support the development of lithium-ion battery packs for our current and next generation space vehicles. This position offers a view into the full spacecraft product development life cycle, from initial design through to launch.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development of lithium-ion battery packs.
- Work directly with flight electromechanical devices.
- Gain hands-on experience across various stages of space vehicle design and launch.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines.
- An interest in the spacecraft product development life cycle.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in Redondo Beach, California.
- The internship is a full-time, 12-week position running from May or June through August or September 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
