About the role#
This internship focuses on the mechanical design of spacecraft avionics. You will contribute to the development of hardware that helps maximize vehicle performance. This is a full-time, paid position lasting 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design mechanical components for avionics systems.
- Build and manufacture avionics hardware.
- Run tests on components to ensure they meet requirements.
- Coordinate with teams across electrical, propulsion, GNC, and vehicle structures engineering.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- This role is based on-site in Redondo Beach, California.
- The term runs for 12 weeks between May or June and August or September 2027.
