Quantitative Trader Intern

About the role#

This 10-week summer internship provides an introduction to life as a trader at IMC. Participants engage in a structured program featuring training, project work, and professional development. Interns receive guidance from dedicated mentors and intern leads throughout the summer. High-performing interns may be considered for a full-time Graduate Trader position upon completion of the program.

What you'll do#

• Participate in classroom-based training covering options theory, core principles of financial markets, and trading simulations.
• Collaborate with traders and technologists on projects with potential business impact.
• Develop professional skills through ongoing support and feedback.
• Build connections within a team-oriented environment.
• Engage in professional development sessions and attend scheduled social activities.

What you'll need#

• Current university student graduating between September 2027 and July 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics.
• Strong analytical skills and a desire to solve complex problems.
• Proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in a programming language such as Python, Matlab, or R is a plus.
• Interest in financial markets (prior knowledge is not required).
