About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides an introduction to life as a trader at IMC. Participants engage in a structured program featuring training, project work, and professional development. Interns receive guidance from dedicated mentors and intern leads throughout the summer. High-performing interns may be considered for a full-time Graduate Trader position upon completion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Participate in classroom-based training covering options theory, core principles of financial markets, and trading simulations.
- Collaborate with traders and technologists on projects with potential business impact.
- Develop professional skills through ongoing support and feedback.
- Build connections within a team-oriented environment.
- Engage in professional development sessions and attend scheduled social activities.
What you'll need#
- Current university student graduating between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Strong analytical skills and a desire to solve complex problems.
- Proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in a programming language such as Python, Matlab, or R is a plus.
- Interest in financial markets (prior knowledge is not required).
