About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers a direct look into the role of a Quantitative Researcher at IMC. Participants work alongside mentors to explore research ideas and build custom analysis tools with the potential for production deployment. The program includes classroom-based instruction on options theory, market making, algorithm complexity, and trade analysis, alongside professional development sessions.

What you'll need#
- Current university student pursuing a PhD in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Superior numerical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for research and solving complex problems.
- Experience in Python, C, or C++ is highly desired.
