About the role#
This 10-week internship offers an inside look at the life of a Quantitative Researcher at IMC. You will work alongside a mentor to explore research ideas and build custom analysis tools that may be deployed into production. Throughout the summer, you will have opportunities to expand your knowledge of options theory, market making, algorithm complexity, and trade analysis. Interns who meet performance expectations may be considered for a full-time Graduate Quant Researcher position upon completion of the program.

What you'll need#
- Current university student pursuing a PhD in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028.
- Superior numerical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for research and solving complex problems.
- Experience in a programming language such as Python, C, or C++ is highly desired.
- Resilience, creativity, and a drive to develop trading intuition.
