About the role#
Illumination is seeking a Creative Marketing Intern for Summer 2026 to work directly with the Creative team. This role offers the opportunity to participate in cross-company learning and collaborate with teams behind major animated films. The position is ideal for individuals who are digital savvy, interested in the business behind the brand, and passionate about emerging technologies and storytelling.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to team brainstorms and help develop big ideas in response to creative briefs.
- Identify creative ways to connect with audiences and research pop culture trends and insights.
- Create presentations to express concepts and project ideas.
- Write copy for scripts, social media channels, and various marketing touchpoints.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a College or University with a major in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Digital Arts, Advertising, or Digital Marketing.
- Fluency across all social media platforms, with an in-depth understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Demonstrated evidence of creative and campaign ideation, along with a strong POV on social and content marketing.
- Proficiency in Google Docs programs.
- Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills with the ability to incorporate creative feedback.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Santa Monica, California.
- Commitment: 40 hours per week for 8 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Santa Monica studio 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday) with 1 day of remote work on Fridays.
- Compensation: $17.28 per hour.
