Reliability Co-op

About the role#

The Reliability Co-op position offers hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment at IFF. You will work alongside experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to integrate classroom theory with practical industrial applications, contributing to projects that directly impact plant operations and asset management.

What you'll do#

• Support root cause analysis of equipment failures through documentation and research.
• Collect and document equipment data for predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration, MCA, ultrasound, lubrication, and IR systems.
• Update the site CMMS with accurate spare parts, equipment data, and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Lead the development of a site-wide KPI database to track asset health and reliability.
• Contribute to the design and execution of capital projects for critical assets, including analyzing historical OEE losses to support capital justification.
• Develop Power Apps to support inventory management, training, and QR/barcode initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering bachelor’s program with sophomore through senior academic standing.
• Preferred majors include Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Chemical Engineering students will also be considered.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to document technical information clearly.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Interest in reliability, maintenance, and asset management.
