About the role#
ICF is seeking a Resilience Coordinator Intern to support our Disaster Management division. You will assist in recovery projects and help state and local clients manage federal programs funded by FEMA and HUD. This is a full-time, 10-week internship running from June through August 2027. You will work alongside experts focused on infrastructure, climate planning, and disaster recovery.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support for hazard mitigation funding and planning projects.
- Help project teams administer federal and state-funded programs.
- Research, interpret, and apply disaster recovery regulations and policies.
- Refine program procedures and processes for implementation.
- Create written reports, policy documents, and training materials.
- Interact with firm experts across fields like utilities, critical infrastructure, and finance.
What you'll need#
- A completed bachelor's degree.
- Enrollment in a graduate program focused on Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or a related field, with at least 9 graduate credits completed.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with research, data entry, and organizing information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience writing detailed guidance, proposals, or procedural materials.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or mapping platforms is a plus.
- Previous internship experience in Disaster Management or FEMA-related areas is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida.
- The role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2 days per week.
- The pay rate for this graduate internship is $28 per hour.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
