About the role#
As an Actuarial Science and Data Science Intern, you will work on analytical tools and models for group insurance and group savings. You will gain experience in a professional environment that focuses on collaboration and development. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to address business challenges like customer segmentation and claims trends.
- Build dashboards and tools to support decision-making.
- Develop and implement predictive models for risk, trends, and customer behavior.
- Use machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to extract insights.
- Process large datasets to find opportunities for improvement.
- Present your findings to management.
- Learn how to deploy and productionize analytical models.
- Collaborate with mentors and subject matter experts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong analytical skills and a focus on solving business problems.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- A strong interest in programming, with Python skills considered an asset.
- High level of curiosity and the ability to deliver results efficiently.
- Advanced French proficiency.
- Intermediate English proficiency for consulting documentation and team collaboration.
