About the role#
The Pension Services Data Science and Analytics team is looking for student interns to join for a 4 or 8 month term. You will work on delivering insights, reporting, and data governance solutions. This role is designed for individuals who want to contribute to meaningful projects and collaborate with teams across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Interpret operational data and projections to support decision-making.
- Build and improve reports and handle ad-hoc requests.
- Perform deep dives into complex datasets to find actionable insights.
- Support teams across the organization by delivering data solutions.
- Apply machine learning methods to evolve business processes.
- Work within the Microsoft Azure Cloud framework.
- Synthesize large datasets into clear visualizations and presentations.
- Support the development of a comprehensive data catalogue for business applications.
What you'll need#
- A background in a data-related field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
- Experience with Python and the Azure framework is considered an asset.
- Comfort working with all levels of management to negotiate requirements and priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create clarity.
- An analytical mindset and curiosity to ask probing questions.
- Excellent requirements documentation skills.
- A willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and engage in difficult conversations.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship with an hourly rate range of $24.00 to $35.00.
