About the role#
The Production Intern supports the daily operations of a design studio, facilitating the flow of project work and ensuring the studio environment is organized and efficient. This role provides exposure to project management workflows, with a typical progression path leading toward Production Coordinator and Project Management positions.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate the seamless flow of project work and assist Project Managers with meetings and reviews.
- Manage studio logistics, including setting up the production studio, handling shipping and receiving, and maintaining office supplies.
- Oversee freelancer communications, including drafting and executing contracts and onboarding processes.
- Track project budgets, costs, and freelance invoices.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for team members.
- Serve as a point of contact for office hospitality, including welcoming guests and managing office upkeep.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workplace.
- An outgoing, inquisitive, and friendly personality, with the ability to maintain grace under pressure.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or Psychology.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Brooklyn, New York.
- Requires working on-site 3-5 days per week, with core office days typically Tuesday through Thursday.
