About the role#
Hunt Consolidated, Inc. is hiring a Geoscience Intern for the Western Region Subsurface department. This is a paid, full-time summer internship based on-site at our Dallas, Texas office. We provide housing if needed for the duration of the term.
What you'll do#
You will work within a cross-discipline team on exploration and development tasks for unconventional resources. Your primary focus is subsurface geological interpretation of the Williston Basin, specifically the Bakken-Three Forks formations.
- Create structural and stratigraphic maps.
- Perform petrophysical analysis and data science projects.
- Develop geological plans for resource development.
- Participate in geosteering and drilling operations if the opportunity arises.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Thesis-Option master’s program in Geoscience.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS or similar mapping software.
- A strong background in stratigraphy and sedimentology.
- Skills in logic-based problem solving and pattern recognition.
- Ability to communicate findings and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
